02/08/2018: PHILIPPINE CONSUL GENERAL ATTENDS RIM OF THE PACIFIC (RIMPAC) 2018 CLOSING RECEPTION

 

Consul General Joselito A. Jimeno was a guest at the Rim of the Pacific 2018 closing ceremony on Thurdsay, 2 August 2018 onboard USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) at Hotel Pier, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii.

The event was attended by influential and notable personalities from the USPACOM represented by Admiral John Aquilino, Commander of the Pacific Fleet and Vice Admiral John D. Alexander, Commander of the U.S. Third Fleet. Also present during the occasion were members of the Consular Corps of Hawaii and other distinguished guests.

While onboard the USS Carl Vinson, Consul General Jimeno visited the Philippine Navy booth which showcased native Filipino food. He also congratulated the Philippine contingent to the war exercises for an excellent performance. The Philippine contingent is headed by Capt Ernesto Baldovino, Commander of Naval Task Force 86 with 568 strong men and women from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP). - End
