Published in 2013 by the Philippine Embassy in Muscat, Oman, the book, of which Madame Jimeno is Editor-in-Chief, is a collection of essays and artworks by children of Filipinos working in the Gulf countries of Bahain, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Oman. It was published at the time when Consul General Jimeno was the Philippine Ambassador to Oman.

The book received recognition from the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) for its significant contribution in raising awareness of migration issues facing Filipinos abroad and awarded it best in print journalism book category during the Commission’s 2013 Migration Advocacy and Media (MAM) awards.

FAUW, a thirty-two year old organization committed to the promotion and preservation of Filipino culture in Hawaii organized the luncheon meeting. It was attended by over 30 individuals from the Filipino community, academe and staff of the Philippine Consulate General. (END).
