With this year’s continuation of the Ambassadors’ Tour, Philippine Consul General Gina Jamoralin led the Hawaii participants during the 11th Ambassadors’ Tour to the Philippines from July 11-16, 2017 in Manila and Davao. Hawaii had the highest number of participants with 60.

The 60 participants from Hawaii, were part of the total number of almost 200 participants from all over the United States together with the Philippine Consuls General in Hawaii, Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Agana and the Charge’ d’Affairs of the Philippine Embassy in Washington.
Upon arrival at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, the delegates were greeted with warm smiles, friendly handshakes and leis from the representatives of the Department of Tourism and Rajah Tours.

During the first day of the tour, participants were given options to visit the National Museum, UST Museum, Malacanang Museum, Metropolitan Museum, Bahay Tsinoy, Fort Santiago, San Agustin Church and Casa Manila. The evening was capped by a heavy cocktails hosted by the Philippine Retirement Authority.
When in Davao, the participants were treated with delectable local fruits such as the pomelo, mangosteen, marang and durian. They were also brought to interesting places like the Museo Dabawenyo, Hijo Resorts, Malagos Garden Resort, Philippine Eagle Center and a short visit at the house of President Rodrigo Duterte for photo opportunities.

The Davao City trip was highlighted with a dinner hosted by the Department of Tourism and Tourism Promotions Board wherein, the guest of honor and speaker was President Rodrigo Duterte.
Rajah Tours, the official tour ground handler, also arranged optional post tours for participants who wish to have additional tour experience in other renowned Philippine travel destinations.

Hawaii participants sure did have a great time and are looking forward to the 12th Ambassadors’ Tour next year and committed to inviting their friends, family and colleagues to consider joining this unique and exceptional tour to the Philippines. (END).
