04/05/2016: ADVISORY ON THE ISSUANCE OF REPLACEMENT BALLOTS TO VOTERS

 

The Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu wishes to inform the public that pursuant to COMELEC Resolution No. 10052 and Office of Overseas Voting (OFOV) Guidelines 2016-003, beginning 4 May 2016 until 9 May 2016 at 11:00 pm, all registered voters under the jurisdiction of the Philippine Consulate General who have not received their ballots will be allowed to vote, subject to the following conditions:

  1. The voter must personally appear at the Consulate to state the fact of his/her not having received the ballot, and to pick up his/her new ballot
  2. The ballot, ballot envelope and paper seal initially mailed to him/her shall be cancelled;
  3. The fact of the cancellation of the ballot, ballot envelope and paper seal shall be reflected in OVF No. 2-A by crossing out the serial numbers of the same. Thereafter, the new serial number of the ballot, paper seal and ballot envelope shall then be entered into the OVF No. 2-A.
  4. The Special Ballot Reception and Custody Group (SBRCG) will first issue any unused ballots, paper seals and ballot envelopes. In case there are no more unused materials, the SBRCG will draw from the available returned-to-sender (RTS) mails, which are considered as ballots available for issuance.

All candidates, registered political parties, coalition of political parties, associations and organizations participating in the party-list system of representation and their representatives are hereby notified accordingly.
