12/02/2016: NOTICE FOR OVERSEAS VOTERS ON MAILING OF BALLOTS

The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) announces the adoption of Automated Election System (AES) Modified Postal Voting at the Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu for purposes of casting overseas absentee votes from 9 April 2016 to 07:00 PM of 9 May 2016 (PHILIPPINE STANDARD TIME).

Voters may opt to either vote personally at the Consulate during the election period, or receive their ballots via mail.

All registered overseas voters of the Philippine Consulate General in Hawaii, American Samoa and French Polynesia who desire to receive their ballots through mail are requested to submit to the Special Ballot Reception and Custody Group (SBRCG) their request on or before 22 April 2016 by filing their request personally or sending the same through the following:

1) Email: overseasvoting.honolulu@gmail.com
[Subj: Request to mail ballot of <NAME>]

2) Mail: Special Ballot Reception and Custody Group
2433 Pali Hwy, Honolulu,
Hawaii 96817, U.S.A.

3) Phone: 808-595-6316 to 19 and ask to speak with an SBRCG member


Voters would have to include the following information in their request for their ballots to be mailed to their prescribed address:


1) Complete Name of Voter
2) Date of Birth
3) Complete Mailing Address of Voter

Voters are enjoined to first verify their name from the Certified List of Overseas Voters which can be found in the website of the Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu at http://www.philippineshonolulu.org/…/CERTIFIED-L…/d,phildet/ if they are indeed allowed to vote in Honolulu for the 2016 National Elections.

Voters can still vote personally at the Philippine Consulate until 1:00 AM on May 9, 2016.
