18/12/2012: Attention: All those interested in taking the Philippine Foreign Service Officers Exams

Application for the 2013 Philippine Foreign Service Officer Examinations (FSOE)

 

The Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu would like to inform interested applicants for the 2013 Philippine Foreign Service Officer Examinations (FSOE) that the Qualifying Test, the first of the five-part FSOE, will be on 10 March 2013.

The Consulate General will accept and screen completed application forms and the required documents, if the following criteria are met:

 

  1. The applicant should be a natural-born Filipino citizen and must present a copy of his/her valid passport and visa or a valid contract of employment in the host country;
  2. The applicant should be not more than thirty-five (35) years of age on the day of the Qualifying Test on 10 March 2013;
  3. The applicant should have obtained at least a four (4) year bachelor’s degree. Documents such as transcript of records, diploma or certificate of graduation will be required;
  4. The applicant should have undergone employment or undertaken further studies, preferably for at least two (2) years. The evaluation of this requirement will be made by the Board of Foreign Service Examinations (BFSE) upon receipt of the application forms;
  5. If married to a foreigner, the applicant must secure from the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, through the BFSE, authority to take the FSOE; and
  6. If applicant has dual or multiple citizenships, he/she should submit a notarized affidavit stating that upon passing the examinations, he/she intends to renounce his/her allegiance to all of his/her countries of citizenship.

 

Kindly submit to the Philippine Consulate your application form, supporting documents, and non-refundable fee of PhP500 (US$12.19) by 23 January 2013. Please be informed that the final determination of the applicant’s eligibility to take the Qualifying Test rests on the final decision of the BFSE.
